Cecelia Gonzales Rangel "Güera or Cece", age 64, passed away on October 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with stage 4 breast cancer. She departed peacefully at Harbor Hospice in Portland, TX surrounded by her children.

Born on March 2, 1960, in Dallas, TX Cecelia Gonzales Rangel touched the lives of those around her with her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Despite facing the challenges of her illness, she remained a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Cecelia embodied kindness and compassion. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of friends and family alike. Her legacy of love will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.

Cecelia was preceded in death by parents Delores and Luis Gonzales, brothers Sammy, Vincent and Robert Luis Gonzales, sisters Genevieve, Diane and Margaret Gonzales, survived by her loving sisters Mary Gonzales and Irene Wesley, former husband Sabas Lemon Rangel Jr with whom she was married for 20 years, her daughter Stephanie Rangel, her son Adrian Rangel and grandchildren Aleyna Garza, Chris Garza Jr, and Anaya Ramos. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her strength will continue to inspire generations to come.

A celebration of Cecelia's life will be held on Friday October 25, 2024 at Guardian Funeral Home & Cremation in Corpus Christi, TX from 2pm to 5pm services at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in Cecelia's honor.

May Cecelia Gonzales Rangel rest in eternal peace with Jesus, free from pain, and may she be remembered for the love and light she brought into the lives of others.
