Bass

Our precious little angel, Carter Taylor Bass, beloved son of Ethan Bass and Richelle Herrera, of Portland, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Carter touched so many lives in his 6 months on earth and spoke volumes with his infectious smile. Carter will always remain his parents' precious baby boy and will live forever in their hearts until they meet again.
Carter is preceded in death by his great grandparents William Bass (Papa Bill) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Patricia Bass (JoJo) of Corpus Christi, Texas; and his great- great grandparents Opal Cryer (Mamaw) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Juanita (MoMo) and Esequel Herrera of Rockport, Texas.
In addition to his parents, Carter is survived by his brothers Brantley Hickman, Brayden Bass, and Grayson Bass; his paternal grandparents Toby Tschoepe and Sara Dansfiell of Ingleside, Texas; James and Antonia Bass of San Antonio, Texas; and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Bernadette Herrera of Rockport, Texas.
Carter's Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Guardian Funeral Home located at 5922 Crosstown SH 286 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm. His service will begin at 6:30 pm.

Little Angels
When God calls little children
to dwell with Him above.
We mortals sometimes question
the wisdom of His love.
for no heartache compares with
the death of one small child,
who does so much to make our world
seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to His fold.
So He picks a rosebud
before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them
and so He takes but few,
to make the land of Heaven
more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try.
The saddest word mankind know
will always be "Goodbye".
So when a child departs
we who are left behind,
must realize God loves children,
Angels are hard to find.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26th from 4-8pm at Guardian Funeral Home with the Celebration of Life to begin at 6:30pm .
