Obituary

Carol Ann Usry was born November 10, 1958. Daughter of Jean Benson and Samuel Usry, Sr. Carol Ann got to see the world at a young age and lived in places like the Philippines, Mississippi, California, just to name a few; before residing in Corpus Christi.

Carol Ann graduated from Roy Miller High School. She then received her CNA license and worked in the NIC Unit at Driscoll Children's Hospital. Later in life she held different positions at the refinery for over 10 years.

Carol Ann accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was first baptized in Refugio. She found her home at St. John Baptist Church and made her peace with God.
God called Carol Ann Usry-Miller home on August 26, 2019. I know once she saw her beloved son beyond those heavenly gates, she refused to turn back. She lived a full life and raised three beautiful children. She loved spending time with her family, friends, church members, and a new great grandson. She was always the life at every event.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her mother Jean Benson; father Samuel Usry, Sr.; spouse John Miller; daughters: Tameka Davis, Alecha Johnson, and Lelia Lawson (daughter in law); beloved son in law Richard Clayton, Jr.; grandchildren: Aliyah Mckinney, Kayla Mckinney, Keona McKinney, Keona Hughes, Jade Hughes, Kermit Hughes, Jr. Jennifer Lawson, and Raschard Clayton; great grandson Kermit Hughes III; sisters: Gloria Usry, Lillian Usry-Brigham, her sister in Christ Pam Robinson; and numerous other step-siblings; nieces: Ashley & Xavier Springs, Alexandria Beasley, Courtashia Robinson; nephews: Samuel Usry, Christopher Usry, Xavier Stevens, Julius Robinson, and Shamar Robinson; with a host of cousins, extended family and countless friends.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 6 at St. John Baptist Church 5445 Greenwood Dr.
