Carol Jean Stites, age 84, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Born on December 27, 1941, Carol devoted her life to caring for others, both through her work as a childcare provider and through the countless acts of kindness she offered to those around her. Her gentle spirit, steady faith, and unwavering compassion touched every life she encountered.

Carol found joy in gardening, nurturing each plant with the same patience and warmth she extended to the people in her life. She was an active participant in her church community and cherished the time she spent with her friends and loved ones. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of belonging to all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Crystal Dobbs Hefley, Brenda Baker, and Debra Oliver. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Stites; her daughter, Stacey Stites; and her son, Clifford Baker.

A burial service will be held at Rosehill Memorial Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas, on May 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Carol’s life, her kindness, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
