Carmen P. Montoya 88, went to be with our Lord and Savior or Saturday, December 24, 2016 after a long illness. She was born December 22, 1928 in Laredo, Texas. At the age of 10 years old she moved to Corpus Christi where she lived the rest of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro A and Margarita Perez, her husband of 52 years Porfirio R. Montoya, and her beloved daughter Norma J Montoya-Gamez, Two brothers Pedro Arturo Perez and Jose Maria Perez.
Carmen leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters Nora J. Cantu and Nelda Naranjo (Juan), two sons David Montoya and Daniel Montoya (Sandra). Twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Two brothers, Pedro Perez and Alberto Perez, two sisters Mary Elizabeth Garza and Hilda Banda.
She retired from CCIS food department after 25 years of service. Carmen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who was cherished by all who knew her.
Pallbears will be Rodolfo F Cantu Jr, Mauricio P Cantu, Daniel R Montoya, Dominic Gamez, Aaron Gamez, Isaac Gamez.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A with a Holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
