The heart of our family, Carlota 'Charlsey' Gutierrez, 59, of Corpus Christi entered into her eternal rest on September 7, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Armando Gutierrez for 41 years.

Charlsey was born in McAllen, Texas on December 4, 1956. She was the daughter of Delfa and Antonio Sanchez. The oldest daughter of 6. She joins her granddaughter, Sarina Gutierrez, her nephew, Rene Sanchez Jr., her brother, Tony 'Oso' Sanchez, and parents in heaven.

Charlsey is survived by her six children: Michael (Rita), Jason, Cherie, Christine, Christopher (Vanessa) Marcus (Laura) and grandchildren: Matthew, Branden, Alexis Y, Dwight Jr, Alexis, Lauren, Andrew, Madelyn, Crispin, Devin, Marcus, Sydney, Christian, Jonathan, Morah, Derek, Jason, Chrissiah, Sebastian, Sarah, Dominic, great granddaughter Christine and devoted cocker spaniels Shelby and Daisy.

She is also survived by her 'twin sister' DeeDee Uribe (John), her brothers, Rene Sanchez, Reynaldo Sanchez (Becky), Adrian Sanchez and sister, Patricia Sanchez along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and honorary children, Quincy Thompson, Oscar Longoria, Jimmy Rubio and Fernando Rubio and countless honorary grandchildren.

Charlsey was a loving wife, mother and grandmother loved by many and will be missed dearly. She blessed all she could, opening her heart and home to the kids in the neighborhood and made many great memories. Charlsey had a heart of gold and was always willing to help. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play in sports and supported her Miller Bucs any chance she could. You heard her coming before she even got there, with her loud voice and wild, outgoing demeanor.

Visitation will be at Guardian Funeral Home on Sunday, September 11th at 4pm with the rosary to follow at 7pm. The memorial service will be held on Monday, September 12th at 9:30 am at Ss Cyril & Methodius catholic Church 3210SPID.
