Carlos M. Ybarra, Sr. went to be with Jesus unexpectedly after a very short illness, on August 10, 2016. He was born on August 31, 1939 in Banquete, Texas to parents, Maximino and Refugia Ybarra.
He is preceded in death by his father, Maximino; his loving mother, Refugia; his brothers, Tony, and Pete; and sister, Lamar. Survived by wife, Sylvia, of 54 years; sons, Carlos Jr., and Anthony; daughter, Melissa (Ventura)and son, David; 6 grandchildren, Estefan, Aaron, Jacline, Charley, Danae and AJ. Also survived by his sisters, Modesta and Josefa Trevino, brothers, Willie, Max, Dan, Hector, Enrique, and Mario; along with each of their respective spouses and children.
Carlos was a proud member of the United States Air Force and devoted his life to civil service and then worked at CCAD for over 40 years.
Carlos was completely devoted to his immediate and extended family. Carlos was an amazing provided to his immediate family. Carlos was a long life fan of Gregory – Portland sports since his 4 children graduated from GPHS.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home chapel "A" with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Services will be held at 11:30 am Monday, August 15, 2016, at Guardian Funeral Home.
Internment with Military Honors will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery
