Carlos Cruz Jr, 62 years old was granted his Angel wings on Sept 24, 2021. He was born Feb 10, 1959 to his parents Carlos and Carlota Cruz, here Corpus Christi, Texas. A 77 graduate of Roy Miller High School. Carlos worked at Billy Pugh as a welder for about 47 yrs. He enjoyed and loved his work there for there he was treated like family. He was a loving husband father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was preceed in death by his parents Carlos Cruz Sr. and Carlota R. Cruz, sister Rosa M. Galindo, and nephew Jesus Soto. He is survived by his loving wife, Terr H. Cruz, daughter Emily (Daniel) Ortiz

His siblings Maria Luisa (Juan) Soto, Minevera (late Epifanio Cantu Sr.), Anna (Clemente) Ortiz, Susy (Micheal) Cortez. Grandchildren, Izzy, Daniel Jr., and Derek Ortiz. By marriage Ricquel and Rick Ray Franco. Stepchildren Gilbert, Kayla, Kassie (Rick) Franco, and his dog name Blue (Boo Boo). Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carlos enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Also loved going fishing with his Ortiz grandchildren, and don't forget barbecuing.

Services at Guardian Funeral Home. Friday October 8, 2021. Family starts at 3 pm. Public at 5pm. Service at 7-8pm.
