Candido De La Garza Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas made his journey home on October 23, 2013.

'Junior' was born on March 11, 1945 in Vanderbilt, Texas. He graduated from West Oso High School and was the owner and proprietor of C.C. Garage where he worked as a mechanic for over 40 years. He will forever be remembered for his caring and giving nature and his unwavering faith in Christ. Friends and family will cherish memories of morning and afternoon visits with him to local restaurants where he was well known.

Candido De La Garza was preceded in death by his parents, Candido and Maria De La Garza and his sister Maria De La Garza Valdez.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter Dorothy De La Garza Ramos and his three grandchildren Michael, Sara, and Baby on the way. He is survived by his six brothers Robert, Felipe, Enrique, David, Tony, Juan, his numerous cousins, nieces and nephews as well as four children that he raised as his own, Samantha and Isiais Delgado, Albert and David Castillo.

Thank you to our family and friends,the doctors, nurses and staff at Spohn Hospital, Trisun Westwood Nursing Facility, and Girling Hospice for their special care and family support.

No services will be held.

Life will never be the same; you are my rock, my strength, and my wisdom. I will honor your memory by loving and raising your grandchildren with the same unconditional devotion that you provided me. 'I love you Daddy...a bunch, a bunch, a bunch.'
