In Loving Memory

Forever 31, Forever Loved, Forever in Our Hearts

Our beloved Brittany Leeann Cruz gained her heavenly wings far too soon on September 24, 2026, at the age of 31.

Brittany was born on August 13, 1995. She attended Foy H. Moody High School and lived and worked in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Brittany was truly one of the strongest women we have ever known. As a devoted single mother of two beautiful children, Eric and Amaris, she faced life’s many obstacles with courage, determination, and an unwavering love for her family. Motherhood was her greatest blessing, and her children were her entire world. No matter what challenges life placed before her, Brittany continued to fight, love, and give her children the very best of herself.

Anyone who knew Brittany knew that she was full of life, laughter, love, and just the right amount of feistiness. She had a personality that could light up any room and a laugh that was impossible to forget. She loved music, good food, barbecues—especially her dad’s barbecue—and spending time with her family and friends.

One of Brittany’s favorite things to do was cruise around downtown Corpus Christi with her children for hours, windows rolled down, music turned up, and her favorite Rod Wave songs playing. Those simple moments brought her so much happiness and created memories that her children will carry with them forever.

Brittany also loved to cook, and she could make some of the most delicious quesadillas and enchiladas. Her love for food was matched only by her love for music. She was always singing her heart out, and if you knew Brittany, you knew she somehow knew the words to just about every song. Her laughter was contagious, her energy was unforgettable, and her presence made even the simplest moments special.

Brittany was also our family’s biggest prankster. She absolutely loved playing jokes and, most of all, scaring people! Whether it was her sisters, nieces, nephews, or anyone who happened to be nearby, nobody was safe from Brittany jumping out to give them a good scare. She found so much joy in making others laugh, and those hilarious memories will forever bring smiles to our faces.

Beneath her playful and feisty personality was one of the most caring, loving, and protective hearts. Brittany loved fiercely and stood up for the people she loved, especially her dad, whom she was always ready to protect. She was a trusted confidante to her sisters, a loving daughter, a devoted mother, a cherished sister and aunt, and a loyal friend to so many.

Brittany had a special way of making people feel loved and remembered. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion. She made sure the people in her life knew they mattered. Her love was genuine, her loyalty was strong, and her heart was bigger than words could ever describe.

Brittany was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Ariaha Rose Garcia, and her beloved grandmothers, Connie Cruz and Maria Garcia. We find comfort in believing that she was welcomed into heaven with open arms and reunited with those who went before her.

She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her loving parents, Hector and Jessica Cruz; her precious children, Eric and Amaris; her siblings, Amanda Hinojosa, Genave (John) Hernandez, Fabian Cruz Sanchez, and Angel (Siara) Cruz; along with her 11 beloved nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless friends whose lives she touched.

Although Brittany’s time here on earth was far too short, the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will last a lifetime. We will forever remember her beautiful smile, her unforgettable laugh, her feisty spirit, her endless singing, her silly pranks, and most of all, her incredible capacity to love.

Our hearts will never be the same without her. We will miss her voice, her laughter, her hugs, and even those unexpected scares that only Brittany could pull off. We would give anything for just one more song, one more laugh, one more hug, and one more moment together.

Brittany, our beautiful baby girl, you were loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. We are forever grateful that God chose us to be your family. Though we cannot hold you in our arms, we will carry you in our hearts every single day.

Fly high, our beautiful angel. Until we meet again, keep singing, keep smiling, and keep watching over us. We will see you again someday.

We love you for all eternity, our beautiful Brittany.

Forever our daughter. Forever their mommy. Forever our sister. Forever our angel.
