IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian Duane
Morgan
July 22, 1960 – September 16, 2023
Born July 22nd 1960, Brian Duane Morgan passed peacefully away on September 16th 2023.
Brian accepted and committed his life to serving Jesus Christ in 2008. His commitment led him to Bridgeway Church (then Christ Point Church), where he met the woman who would become the love of his life and his wife, Dorothy "Dollye" Morgan. They were married in 2009 and would go on to be married for 14 1/2 years.
Brian may be best known for his love for Bridgeway Church... for her people, for her buildings, for her grounds. He faithfully maintained eight buildings and 10 acres of property, mowing, weeding and edging. He served Bridgeway as head of Maintenance and Groundskeeping since 2017, he was faithful to his calling. He also served in Bridgeway Cafe, bringing breakfast and joy to people on Sunday mornings before worship service. He served on Wednesday night potlucks, bringing food, fellowship and love to everyone who showed up with an appetite for a delicious meal and the Word of God.
Brian is predeceased by his father Gerald Morgan, and by his brothers Gerry Morgan, Randy Morgan and Keith Morgan.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy "Dollye" Outland Morgan, his mother Dianna (Frank) Mireles, his sister Lisa Morgan, his brother William (Rachel) Morgan, his son Gerald Morgan, his granddaughter Michele Morgan and his daughter Amber Cooper-Garcia.
In addition, he loved and cherished his Bonus Mom, Suzie Stevens and Bonus Brother, EJ (Maralee) Jones.
Brian's life will be celebrated Sunday, October1, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bridgeway Church on Rodd Field Road. In lieu of flowers, we respectfully request Memorial gifts be sent to the American Cancer Society, the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or any cancer research organization of one's choice. Perhaps in the future, one person can be saved from a cancer diagnosis, if we all give a little.
We love you! We pray God blesses you! Our hope is that you will take Brian's journey to heart and respond with love, compassion empathy, and a desire to fight cancer wherever and whenever you can. God bless you!!!!
