Brenda Selvidge Burk
(July 16, 1953-February 24, 2014)
After battling a lung disease for many years, Brenda Selvidge Burk joined our Heavenly Father on February 24, 2014 at the age of 60. Brenda was born in Corpus Christi, TX on July 16, 1953 to John and Billie Selvidge. She graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in 1971. She later married Jerry Burk in 1974 and had 2 children, Krista and Brian. She was actively involved in their extracurricular activities. She also enjoyed crafts, especially ceramics and sewing. She worked for American Greetings for several years until she had to quit due to her illness.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Burk, her son Brian Burk, her daughter Krista Hominick (JP), her grandson Brayden Hominick, and her sister, Karen Selvidge.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 10:45am at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery located at 9974 IH 37 Access Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78410 at the Committal Service Shelter
