IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brandon Scott
Sander
August 22, 1986 – July 12, 2023
Remembering Brandon, on the 1st Anniversary of his passing. Brandon Scott Sander was born on August 22nd, 1986 to Jodie & JD Sander in Odessa, Texas. Brandon unexpectedly passed on July 12, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas with congestive heart failure.
In July of 1987, Brandon & his parents moved to Sacramento CA where he resided until 1992, when he, his mother & her new husband Steve moved to Salt Lake City. In August of 1998, Brandon moved back to Sacramento to live with his father, his common law wife Lottie & her two daughters, Sherry & Carrie. Brandon grew extremely close to Lottie & her daughters. He often stated that his stay there were the best days of his life. In August of 2003, Brandon, Lottie & JD moved to Murrieta CA, where graduated from Murrieta High School in 2004. Brandon was a Martial Arts enthusiast, earning his Black Belt in Tae Kuk Mu Sul & was invited to join his Grand Master Suk Ku Kim for three weeks in Pu San, South Korea, where Tae Kuk Mu Sul was founded 800 - years earlier. Brandon also enjoyed Paintball with his friends, Archery & shooting with his father. Brandon possessed excellent work ethic, was very prompt, reliable, honest & always put others before himself.
He was well liked by his friends & respected by his superiors & co-workers. On December 3rd, 2005, Brandon & his girlfriend Stephanie Mapes welcomed the arrival of his son, Donovan Michael Sander-Mapes. Brandon was a very doting & proud father. In July of 2014 Brandon moved from Murrieta to San Antonio Texas, so he could be close to "mom" Lottie & his father, who moved to Corpus Christi. On Friday, July 21st, 2023, the owners, co-workers of Rocky's Tavern held a private Tribute for him. Only his family, co-workers & almost 100 of his closest friends were allowed to attend. It was there that his family realized how much he was admired, loved & respected by his friends, etc... Many of them shared with us just how "big of a heart" he had ! Your family knows that you, Helen & "Mom's" loved ones, greeted her at Heaven's Gate when she passed earlier this year.
In October your family & Dee will be having our own "tribute" for Mom & you in Colorado with food, drink, favorite songs, stories, laughs & most certainly some tears. Although you are not on this earth to celebrate your life with all those who love you, know that I/we will always celebrate you with joy & thanks for the time we had together! You'll always be loved & missed, but never forgotten! With all my/our love.
