Bobbie Viola Adams, age 91 of Corpus Christi, passed away in a local hospital on Friday, April 16, 2021.  She was born on August 20, 1929 in Buck's Prairie, Lawrence Co., Missouri to Robert Stanhope and Nettie Viola Ragsdale Boyd.

Bobbie graduated from Hereford High School in 1946.  She attended Northwest Texas Hospital of Nursing in Amarillo, TX where she graduated in 1950.

She married Ernest Harold Adams in Hereford, TX on March 1, 1951.  They were the devoted and loving parents of 11 children.

Bobbie worked in various nursing positions before joining Flour Bluff ISD as head School Nurse in 1976; retiring in 1994.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, having served in various callings over the years.

She was an avid genealogist and a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution.)

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years; a daughter, Norma Jean Swain and son-in-law, Jerald Lloyd Swain; a son, Richard Ernest Adams; a grandson, Kyle Jonas Adams; her parents and 3 brothers: Paul, Franklin, and Ronnie Boyd.

She is survived by sons: David (Charyl) of Troutdale, OR; Jim (Annetta) of Port Aransas, TX; Ken (Karen) of Santa Fe, TX; Gary (Ann) of Corpus Christi and Randy of Corpus Christi; Daughters: Joy (Phil) Fredrickson of Hitchcock, TX; Patty (Rick) Smith of Corpus Christi; Sandy (John) Healy of St. George, UT and Cindy Adams of Manvel, TX; 39 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren, and one sister, Mary Brown of Snowflake Arizona.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30am on Saturday, April 24 th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 6630 Wooldridge Rd. in Corpus Christi, TX.  The funeral will follow at 11:00am, with interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX.
