Obituary

Betty Ann Sanders, age 89, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Betty was born on May 31, 1929, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Allan D. Burt and Gerda Elizabeth (Dahlquist) Burt. ​
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Jack L. Sanders, son Jack B. Sanders, brother James A. Burt and son-in-law Thomas F. Rowell.
Betty was a stay home Navy wife, raising 3 children along with actively serving for many offices in Navy Wives & Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Assoc. for many years.
She is survived by daughters Nancy Rowell and Patricia (Col. David) Morey USMC (Retired), ten grandchildren Bradley (Adriana) Penick, Terry (Ingebor) Penick, Todd (Wendy) Penick, Andrew Penick, Matthew (Joanne) Sanders, Jeremy Sanders, Lauren (Jamie) Muhl, Jacquelyn Morey, Elizabeth Morey, David T. Morey; five great grandchildren, Isabella Penick, Paolo Penick, Hannah Penick, Madison Sanders and Alyssa Sanders.
As mother, grandmother and great grandmother she was the matriarch of her family. She always had a loving way to help or words of wisdom to cheer or console. Our grief is only alieved by our belief that she is now reunited with our Father.
Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a church or charity of their choice.

Services and internment will be October 15, 11:00 am, Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas.
