Berry Hilton Wilkins, Jr, age 73, passed away October 22, 2023. He was born on October 21, 1950 to Berry Hilton Wilkins and Velta Mae Wilkins in Sweet Water, Texas. He was raised in Roscoe, Texas and graduated from Roscoe High School.

He served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1976. Third Class Petty Officer with awards: Vietnam Service Medal with One Star and Vietnam Service Medal with 60 device. He was employed by the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission.

Berry was a Man of God and was a loving father. Berry enjoyed spreading the word of God, spending time with his family, and eating good food. He will always be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, love for good ministry, and love for his family.

Berry Hilton Wilkins, Jr. is preceded in death by his parents Berry H. Wilkins, Sr. and Velta Mae Wilkins; sisters , Carol Moore and Cathleen Marselle Sloane.

Left to cherish his memories are his children : Caroline Gies, Emily Turner, Berry H. Wilkins, III, Victoria Wilkins, Chessie Wilkins, Andrew Wilkins, Elisabeth Wilkins; grandchildren : Joshua Gies, Jolene Gies, Johann Gies, Chessie Turner, Jerri Turner, Clay Turner, Elhonna Davis; also mother of his children, Vivian Sousa, his work family and friends at the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, along with multiple nieces and nephews.

A Prayer Service will be held at Good Samaritan Rescue Mission at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 17, 202 3. A Graveside Service will follow with full military honors at 2:00 PM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I.H. 37 North Access Rd.
