Dr. Benjamin (Ben) Lee Blanco 58, went to be with our Lord and savior on Thursday, October 26, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born on June 16, 1959 in Gary, Indiana. At age 12 he arrived in Kingsville and graduated from H.M. King High School.
He had been a resident of Corpus Christi at the time of his death.
He was preceeded in death by his parents Mr. Abdiel Blanco and Ms. Antonia Blanco, a brother, Jose A. Blanco.
Ben leaves behind to cherish his memories his sister, Martha (Chito) Ramirez, their son, Carlos Ramirez, sister, Angela "Angie" Frost, her children, Jason (Jennifer) Mutchler, Martie (Artie) Lugo, Melanie (Pete) Alaniz, and his brother David M. Blanco (Theresa) and thirteen nieces and nephews.
Ben was a professor at both Del Mar College and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi department of Business of Administration

Pallbearers will be Chito Ramirez, Carlos Ramirez, Jason Mutchler, Ryan Torres, Jacob Moreland, and Hunter Moreland.
Public visitation will be begin on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. November 2, 2017 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Corpus Christi Cathedral Catholic church 505 N. Upperbroadway.
