Obituary
Benito T. Lopez passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 21, 2018 at the age of 74.
A beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and now our Guardian Angel.
He taught his children to have a firm faith in God, to be strong, loyal, respectful to others, and independent. He expressed every day of his life that one of his greatest joys were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They all brought him so much pride and happiness. The memories he blessed us with will never be forgotten! Benito always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips, leaving everyone he encountered; with a bit of happiness. As the saying goes, "he never met a stranger", he could strike a friendly conversation with just about anyone! Oh how the nurses loved him; his flirtatious soul always had a complement ready as they approached. Benito had many passions in life but nothing could top an ice cold beer and some conjunto music, turned up on the stereo. All in all, he desired to do God's will and to help everyone that he could. The legacy of Benito's kind spirit, passion for sports and zest for life will live on through his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty one years Sesaria Lopez; children: Ruben Flores, Sandra (Jimmy) Padia, and Sylvia (Andy) Ramirez; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosa Rincon and Maria Lopez.
Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, at Guardian funeral home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church. Cremation to follow.
