IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Benessa Pimentel
Alonzo
August 23, 1977 – January 13, 2024
Benessa Pimentel Alonzo, 46 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on January 13, 2024. She was born on August 23, 1977 to Irma Pimentel and the late Antonio Pimentel of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Benessa was the youngest of six children. She had 3 brothers Ricardo (Rose) Pimentel, Antonio Pimentel Jr, Israel (Melissa) Pimentel and 2 sisters Dalia Cantu, Lydia (Max) Zapata. She had numerous nieces and nephews.
She attended Foy H. Moody High School and enjoyed being a part of the T.J. Strutter dance team. She loved working and hanging out with her friends, "The Golden Girls".
Shortly after, Benessa married her love, Juan Alonzo, on May 16, 1998. They had three beautiful children- Nina Nessa Alonzo, Juan Issac Alonzo, and Jonathan Isaiah Alonzo. She loved them unconditionally and gave them the best life possible. They had fun and crazy times together. Benessa was their biggest supporter when it came to their extracurricular activities. She would do anything for them, move mountains if she could. She was so proud of each of them.
Benessa was over the moon, once her grandkids arrived. Her two amazing handsome grandsons, (her ride or die) Jaykub, (handsome) Juan Issac Jr., and one beautiful, outgoing granddaughter, (loveebug)Alaia. She loved them more than anyone could have ever imagined. They were her everything.
Benessa attended Del Mar College where she dreamed of becoming a drug/abuse counselor and one day help people overcome their obstacles. Her first semester she even made the Dean's list.
In 2020, Benessa was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She knew she had to give it her all to fight it, as it would be a long road ahead and she did. She beat it! Her family and friends were beyond proud of her and all of her life's accomplishments.
Benessa will be truly missed, but she lives on through her children and grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Ricardo Pimentel Jr. , Joseph Pimentel, Antonio Pimentel III, Israel Pimentel Jr., Juan Issac Alonzo, Jonathan Isaiah Alonzo.
