Our much be loved and cherished Mamacita was taken from us suddenly after a very brief illness . The day she passed, was a special family day – birthdays of grandson Javier , granddaughter Nicole , and great-grandson Evan . We will forever hold that day in our hearts and while celebrating our loving family members, we will continue to remember and mourn her passing . Our respected and deeply loved Matriarch leaves a legacy of strength, unconditional love, and an example of the importance of unity within the family.
She is survived by her 7 children: Mary Botello (Edward), Pat Alvarez (Frank), Rudy Gutierrez (the late Mercedes), Adela Gutierrez (Joe Garcia), Sylvia Fox (Scott), Joe Gutierrez (our sister in law Frances), and Teresa Robertson (Brian). She is also loving ly survived by her 17 grandchildren: John (Tammy) , Christina, Daniel a, Javier (Julie), Alex (Dana), Marissa (Stephen), Rudy, Derr e ck (Crystal), Jennifer (Matt), Kryst le (David), Austin, Joey, Nicole (Linds a y), Zoe (Michael), Haley, Arden (Will) and Baxter; 26 great grandchildren, Alex, Araceli, Fiora, Sophia, Javi, Noah, Evan, Ava, Kloe, Gavin, Lauren (Travis) Harley, Jadean, Sarah, Avery, Addison, Easton, Aliyah, Isabel, Christopher, Olivia, Joshua, Micah, Nora, Hazel, Warren, , and 2 g reat great- grand children Serenity and Erin. A s well as a host of nieces and nephews and lifelong friends who loved her deeply.
She is also survived by her husband Ignacio Carrion and his children George, Imelda, Roland , and their respective spouses .
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Rodolfo Gutierrez and her siblings the Nava's - Carlos, Oscar, Pedro, Imelda , and Maria. We know she yearned to be with them and especially her parents Carlos and Maria Refugia . Their gain is our loss ….we will miss her forever and a day until we are all reunited.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Guardian Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to start at 1 p.m. A reception to celebrate her life will follow; location is to be announced, please check back here for an update.
Her wishes were to be cremated and be eternally reunited with her parents.
