Beatrice Rosalita Figueroa February 17, 1930 – November 9, 2014.
Heaven just got a little brighter and a lot more fun. In the early morning of Sunday November 9 Beatrice Rosalita Figueroa made her final journey to the loving arms of Christ. She was greeted by the love of those who had gone before her: husband Alfonso Figueroa and daughter Rosalita Fink. She was an incredible, vibrant woman who lived an amazing life and built a wonderful family that consisted of four daughters: Elizabeth Jang, Benita Paxton and Angelita Paxton; two sons: Peter Matina and Paul William Paxton Jr. and raised her grandson Rickey Rodriguez (Ester) as her own; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mom was an avid bowler for over 15 years winning multiple bowling matches with teams in Ohio and Corpus Christi. She never met a stranger. Her days were spent taking care of everyone she met. In her twenties she was part owner of a pizzeria in Akron, Ohio while married to Paul William Paxton Sr. In 1964 her family relocated to Corpus Christi and she worked for Community Action for over 13 years, 5 years on the Naval Base in Corpus Christi and later as a cafeteria assistant at Ray High School. She loved to dance and today dances in the glory of the love of Christ in Heaven. She was born in Sinton and traveled throughout the US in her 84 years. Those who knew her, knew of her love for the word of God, enjoyment of making those around her laugh and most of all love of her family. She will be greatly missed but we give back to God what is his. We thank our dear Lord for sharing her with us.
