Obituary

Barbara Jean Walker, 86, passed away peacefully at her home on June 20, 2025. Barbara was born on July 14, 1938, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Elizabeth Mudgett Zoller and Robert Joseph Zoller (Joe). After her mother's passing from tuberculosis, Barbara was lovingly adopted by her grandfather Joseph Everet Zoller (Pop Zoller) and step-grandmother Leona Stacy Zoller. She spent her childhood in Springfield, Missouri, where she built lifelong memories and friendships.

Barbara married John Edward Fordham, and together they raised four daughters in Springfield, Missouri, before eventually divorcing. She later married Lymon Crane, and they welcomed a son together before parting ways. Barbara ultimately found lasting companionship with Henry "Clay" Walker. The two were married in November of 1975. Barbara and Clay moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, in April 1979, where she began a long and devoted career with H&R Block, later retiring after nearly 30 years of dedicated service.

She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Linda Lee McMinn; her husband Henry Clay Walker; her parents Elizabeth and Robert Zoller; brothers William and Joseph Zoller; and sister Brenda "Paula" Williams.

Barbara is survived by her children: Susan Wester; Nancy Fordham; Judith "Judy" Kendrick; and Daniel "Danny" Crane. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: James Andrew "Drew" McMinn (Katarina); Samantha Fordham; John Anthony "Tony" Cruz (Candice); Travis Michael Cruz Sr. (Tasha); Joseph "Joe" Clay McMinn (Cheryl); Nancy "Sarrina" Villagomez (Martin Sr.); Trevor Allen Hewitt; Tyler Dean Kendrick (Christina); and Taylor Denise Rice (Shawn). Additionally, she leaves behind 24 great-grandchildren, including Madison; Travis Jr.; Abbigail; Isabella; Malaha; Olivia; Brodey; Martin Jr.; James Andrew III; Kalani; Gracey; John Blyde; Ella; Braiden; Callie; Colton; Finley; Tatum; Walker; Analise; Kaiden; Maleah; Kiley; Nevaeh.

A graveside service will be held at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery where Barbara and her husband Clay will be placed in their final resting place as she requested. (Time and date pending)
