Obituary

Ballintino L. Flores “Tack”, passed away June 11, 2026 at Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline. He was born on February 14, 1951, in Mathis, TX., to parents Antonio Flores Senior and Margarita L. Flores.

He is preceded in death by his father Antonio Sr., mother Margarita and his two brothers, Clemente Flores, Frank Flores, and one brother-in-law Alfredo Gonzalez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Graciela G. Flores, two sons Orlando G. Flores and Omar G. Flores. Two God-Daughters Victoria Lynn Gonzales and Isabella Mata. He is survived by two brothers Juan (Delfina) Flores and Antonio Flores Jr.; six sisters, Anita (Frank) Guerrero, Terresita (Melicio) Molina, Rosita (Leroy) Castro, Raquel Longoria, Alicia Gonzalez, Mary Lou (Jose) Mata, and two sisters-in-law Olga Flores and Carmen (Dale) Mueller, including numerous nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his beloved family member Yolanda Alonzo, along with her children: Dominga (Carlos) Ramos, Cynthia Cuevas, David (Emily) Ramos, and Patricia (Carlos) Ortiz.

Ballintino was an Army veteran.

He was a retiree from Verizon of the Southwest formerly known as G.T.E. Telephone company. He had a passion for his work starting as a Line Man, to TNP “Cable Testing”, and advancing in becoming as was mentioned by his colleague, a superior Cable Splicer and Fiber Optic Cable Splicer in the 34 years with the company.

He was at his happiest when he was with his family and friends and would always find a way to make them laugh or give them a good scare. He was very giving and loved to talk about anything and everything regarding his work, fishing, hunting, cooking, and gambling. He loved listening to music and was a sports fanatic who was an avid 49ers fan.

He will be remembered for the unconditional love and friendship he so freely gave to his family and friends.

Visitations will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday June 18, 2026 with Full Military Honors to be rendered at 6 p.m. and a Holy Rosary to follow at the Guardian Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 5922 Crosstown Access Road - Corpus Christi, TX, 78417 Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday June 19, 2026 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd - Corpus Christi, TX, 78415

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place.

Reception to follow after mass at Gethsemane Lutheran Church fellowship hall, 3434 Holly Road - Corpus Christi, TX, 78415
