Obituary

Aurora (Cuata) Vega age 67 from Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

She was born on September 7, 1953 in Brownsville, Texas.

Aurora graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1972. Attended Corpus Christi University. She earned a degree in Early Childhood Development from Del Mar College. She retired from CCISD in 2017. She was a very giving person and loved her family very much.  Loved country music and was a great dancer. Aurora was very intelligent, creative and like to watch crime shows and chick flicks as well as reading novels. The very most thing she like best was designing jewelry, calligraphy writing and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro P. Vega, Sr., and Aurora Saenz Vega and her brother, Pedro (Pete) Vega, Jr., and son-in-law; Thomas Lee Burden.

Aurora leaves behind her family to cherish her memories: Daughters Michelle Burden and Desorii De-Ann Vega, and six grandchildren, Nathanael Burden, Thomas Cain Burden, Yzabella Meza, Alexis Meza Brandy Meza and Edward Meza, her sisters, Nora Vega, Maria Cookie Adame (Johnny), Delia Rodriguez (Gilbert), and her twin brother Jesse Vega (Nancy), sister-in-law; Margie Vega, numerous nieces & nephews.

Memorial services to Celebrate Aurora's life will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Guardian funeral home from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
