In Loving Memory Of

Aurora Garza Ramirez, 86, passed peacefully into the Lord’s embrace on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. Born on July 11, 1939, in La Joya, Texas, to Orlando and Herlinda Garza, Aurora lived a life rich with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those around her.

Aurora had a gifted pair of hands and a creative spirit. She poured her heart into sewing, crocheting, and knitting—crafts that became her way of giving comfort and beauty to others. She also carried a playful spark, one that revealed itself in her secret love for casino trips and her joy for Tejano music. When the music started, Aurora came alive. She and her husband were known as a remarkable dance duo, gliding across floors with a rhythm and connection that everyone admired. She also loved gardening and all of her flowers. 

Family was the center of Aurora’s world. Nothing brought her more happiness than having her loved ones close, and her family was blessed to be by her side as she made her peaceful journey home.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfredo Ramirez, her son Armando Ramirez, and four brothers and sisters.

Aurora leaves behind a legacy of love through her children Alfredo (Sandra) Ramirez and Anabel Ramirez, along with 13 grandchildren and 8 great‑grandchildren who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Her life was a tapestry of strength, joy, and devotion—and those who loved her will continue to feel her warmth in every stitch of the memories she leaves behind.

Service Information

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28th at Guardian Funeral Home from 8:30am-12:00pm. The Chapel Service will begin at 12:15pm and the Burial will follow at 2:00pm at The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
