Obituary

Aurora "Lollie" Guerra, 73, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on November 6, 2017. She was born on September 12, 1944 in Alice, TX but grew up in Kingsville where her parents Frank and Albina Guerra owned the Day and Nite Café.

Aurora was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend to many and she will be greatly missed. She was a strong, independent woman who owned several companies over the span of her adulthood.  She started her career as a cosmetologist and was a co-owner of Mr. Louie's and later the sole owner of Hair Horizons.  After 20+ years in the beauty industry, Aurora reinvented herself and started an asbestos and demolition company called A&D Contracting.  She was a savvy business woman who was not afraid to work hard. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Albina Guerra as well as her nephews Israel Padilla, Jr. and Jesse Guerra. Aurora is survived by her only child, Michelle Garza, her son-in-law Angel and the two most precious loves of her life, her grandchildren Milan and Luke; her sister Rosie (Israel) Padilla, brother Jesse "Robert" Guerra and numerous nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown Expressway, Corpus Christi, TX 78417 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her cousin, Mary Alice Rubio, for her continued love and support.
