Aurora Patiño Aguilar passed away on March 10, 2025 at the age of 86. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 22, 1939 to Balomero Patiño and Juana Moreno.
Aurora loved to cook and enjoyed having meals with her family. Tortillas were her specialty. Spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was her greatest joy in life. She enjoyed playing Loteria, but most of all winning! Her favorite pastimes were reading the Sunday paper, gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family. She loved her Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros, never missing a game. Above all, her love for God and her faith are what carried her through life everyday. She was a devout Catholic and attended church regularly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, siblings, Anita, Lupe, Chelo, Frances, Basilia, Antonio and Raymundo.
Left to cherish her memories are her children Anna (Noel), Luis Ruben, John (Sara), Joe (Linda). Grandchildren Leslie (Mario), Ryan (Ashley), Bryan (Amanda), Lorraine (Randy), Mark, CJ, Crystal, Araceli, Aaron and Asia (Devon). 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Numerous nieces, nephews and her close friends. Aurora loved life and was the epitome of kindness, beauty and grace. She had the biggest heart and personality and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Justin Olivarez, Jeremy Olivarez, Joseph Garcia, Jacob Garcia, Aaron Aguilar, Mark Deleon, Ronald Berglund and Tony Longoria.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th at Guardian Funeral Home from 4-8pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm . Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:30am and Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park at 1pm .
