Atilano Efrain Castro
On May 11,2015 Atilano Efrain Castro "A beloved father and husband" at 84 years of life joined several angels in heaven especially his son Fernando Castro Sr. whom he always enjoyed watching him play for the Moody Magic Baseball team and then became a devoted fan member to the end of his life.
Castro enjoyed his time going to area sport events, bingo, bus trips to casinos and especially Las Vegas.
A devoted mail carrier of 35 years,Catholic member of Holy Family Church,board member of the postal employee's credit union,union representative for the U.S.Postal Employees and a strong democratic. Most of all served our country in the Korean War with PRIDE and HONOR with the Air Force Armed Services. A man willing to help anyone with guidance in making wise decisions and a very intelligent man.
Atilano Efrain is survived by his wife of 60 years,Guadalupe S Castro whom he was a wonderful husband too,a great dad to Efrain(Mayumi)from Japan,Belinda,Rene(Maggie)from California and the late Fernando Castro Sr.RIP (widow Liz) grandchildren Jun,Julia,Monica(Japan),Fernando Jr,Robert(San Antonio),LeeAnna,Reyes(Ray),Reyna(Hawaii),Atilano Orlando(Orlie),Rene Jr and Christian(California)and 3 great grand children. A mentor brother to Melinda(Frank) California,Velia(Keith)Missouri,Diane(Pete)Ohio and Able from California.
HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED BY EVERYONE,BUT GRATEFUL WE HAVE A GUARDIAN ANGEL IN HEAVEN WATCHING OVER US ALL

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m.,Friday,May 15,2015,at Holy Family Catholic Church located 2513 Nogales st. Corpus Christi,Tx. 78416
Burial will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery located 9974 IH37 Access RD Corpus Christi,Tx. 78410
