In Loving Memory:

Athanasios Stamatakis, affectionately known as "TJ," passed away on July 8, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 32. He was born on September 21, 1993, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

TJ was known for his hardworking nature, his hilarious sense of humor, and his larger-than-life personality. He had a way of bringing laughter and energy wherever he went and never met a stranger. A self-employed contractor, TJ took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. In his free time, he loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Beloved son of Jessica T. Garcia, Tom Stamatakis, and the late Jaime Garcia.

TJ leaves behind his beloved children, Athanasios Stamatakis II, Raelynn Rose Stamatakis, Brian Contreras, Lorissa Contreras, Jazzalynn Ramos, Leslie Ramos, Stephanie Contreras, Promiss Contreras, and Jesus Contreras. He was also a proud grandfather to Bri'leya Contreras and Jesus Contreras Jr.

TJ was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jose O. Torres and Apostolos Stamatakis. He is lovingly remembered by his grandmothers, Rosario Campos and Alicia Stamatakis, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Although his time on earth was far too short, TJ leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and unforgettable memories. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Service Information:

Visitation will be held on at Guardian Funeral Home Monday July 13th from 4-8pm. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:30pm.
