Ascencion Franco passed away peacefully on May 03, 2020 at the age of 84.
He was born in Mexico to his loving parents Porfirio Franco and Maria Del Socorro on May 30, 1935.

It is quite impossible to capture the love and happiness which Ascencion brought to our lives. He will be remembered as an amazing father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many.

He could always be found with a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. There was not much of anything that could bring down his spirits, he was light hearted, never held a grudge or made an enemy; he would simply brush off the little things and turn the other cheek. Spending the majority of his working career in the construction industry; he was the definition of a hard working man.

Ascencion was bold in his faith, he had a strong belief in the power of God and in return taught his children to also be strong, loyal, independent and caring. Many would say he had the patience of Job; in the midst of adversity he always stood tall. This man has left a legacy that is unforgettable; he will live on in many hearts for generations to come.

Ascencion joins now in heaven, his first love and mother of his children Susie; his late wife Lupe; son Joe; daughter Sylvia; brothers: Chavelo, Antonio, Gabriel, Cruz, and both of his parents.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter Mary Alice; grandchildren: Austin, Adrian, Gabriel, Marina, Susie; sister Tina; along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins whom he loved.

Public Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2020 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi.
A Chapel Service will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 at Guardian Funeral Home with Burial to follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
