Obituary

Arnold (A.L.) Pitcher, 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away April 3, 2015. Al was born February 26, 1925 in Bradner, Ohio to Louis and Gladys Pitcher. He has lived in Corpus Christi since the mid-nineties. Al was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie in 1997. He is survived by his wife, of 16 years Hazel Pitcher, one daughter, Nancy and husband John Tittl, two granddaughters, Stacy (Mike) Weems and Holly (Joe) Richardson and three great grandchildren, Austin, Brooklyn and Ryder of Forth Worth, Tx. Al grew up in Ohio and upon graduating from high school served in WWII in the United States Navy Pacific Theater. Al worked in highline construction and retired as owner of P & B Construction Co. in Childress, Texas. After several years of consulting and spending winters in Corpus Christi area he settled here in 1998. Al served as an Elder at Lord of Life
Lutheran church in Flour Bluff, Texas. Al and Hazel were special volunteers and served in various capacities on the U.S.S. Lexington in Corpus Christi Harbor. A Memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 1317 Flour Bluff. Military Honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post #364.
