April Malissa Gatton passed away on August 4, 2023 at the age of 54. April was born on August 2, 1969 to Marta and Richard Story in Corpus Christi, Texas.

April was a perfect wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, mentor and friend.

She is survived by her Mother, Marta Story (72), Husband of 26 years, David Gatton (54), Daughters, Madisyn Elyssa (21), Delayne Evelyn (19), Allisyn Crystal (15),  her siblings: Marton Story (53), Richard Story (43), Stephanie Story (40), and her beloved cat, Phoebe.

She has been welcomed in to heaven by her Father, Rick, Grandmother Paula (Meme), Grandfather Marton (PeePaw), Randal (Uncle Snake), and family friend, Crystal.

April loved and cherished sunflowers, elephants, religious faith, sunsets, getting dressed up, vacations and holidays. But most of all, she loved her family. Quality time meant the most to her.

April accomplished a multitude of successes in her lifetime. She was always titled the Top Sales Woman, or Top Customer Service Representative everywhere she had worked. Anyone who knew April would undeniably describe her as the kindest person they had ever met. She had a way with people, they genuinely gravitated to her.

She should always be remembered for her heart, which was truly full of love for everyone.

A Memorial will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel with a Gathering to begin at 10:00 a.m. and Service at 11:30 a.m.
