April Thomas "Mama Bird" Garcia passed away on November 9, 2021, in the night during a peaceful slumber at home. She was 47 years old. April was born on April 6, 1974, to Ofelia Garza and Robert Thomas in Corpus Christi Texas. She was the second youngest of six children. April graduated from W.B. Ray High School and attended college at Del Mar Community College. She worked as a substitute teacher and an assistant librarian. April was a single mother of two children, Norma and Alixandrea. She loved them very much. Her profession as an assistant librarian brought one of her children to love books, and she shared a passion for drawing with the other. Her main achievement was to make sure her children were happy. Her sense of humor and fierceness can be seen in them. In the end, she had a difficult life and was finally set free. She is no longer in any pain and resting peacefully with her dad. April will be missed and never forgotten.
