Antonio Moreno, 66, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2014. He was born on December 10, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Moreno, Sr. and Florencia Vega Moreno and a brother, Alfonso Moreno, Jr., and a sister, Guadalupe Moreno. Antonio was retired from C.C.I.S.D. and had worked at Zavala Elementary school for several years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Esperanza Moreno, two daughters, Carla (Michael) Rodriguez, Veronica (Juan Carlos) Bautista,
son, Jorge Duran, three grandchildren, Carlos Bautista, Sean Mathew Rodriguez, Dominic Emmanuel Bautista, brother, Rafael(Mary) Moreno,Sr., nieces, Elizabeth (Herbert B.) Palacios, Caroline (Armando) Moreno, Laura (Raul), Hernandez, Danielle (Aaron) Tolliver, nephew, Rafael (Yvonne) Moreno, Jr. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church, 540 Hiawatha St. Burial wil follow at Laguna Gardens cemetery. 2500 Debra Ln. in Flour Bluff.
