Anselma Rodriguez gained her wings on October 26 2021 after a brief illness. She was 68.

Whomever was fortunate enough to have been blessed with knowing her, understand that the imprint she is leaving in our hearts is greater than the sadness we are feeling with her passing.

On May 25th 1953 Anselma was born to Domingo & Elida Rodriguez in Alice, TX. She had seven sisters all of whom she adored. In 1976 she had her only child Maritza Rodriguez Sanchez of Corpus Christi, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents Domingo & Elida Rodriguez; her grandparents Samuel & Concepcion Joslin and Cristobal & Dominga Rodriguez; her sisters Dominga Bowen, Aminta Laso; her beloved aunt Amelia Joslin as well as her beloved nephew/godson Ricardo Chapa & Sergio Domingo Rodriguez.

Survivors include her daughter Maritza (Noe) Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Tx. Grandchildren Elizabeth Jenise (Steven) Tellez; Elida Renee (Javier) Arellano; both of Premont,; Elizardo Rene (Jacinda) Carrales Jr. of Falfurrias,; Eliza Marivette (Santiago) Perez of Corpus Christi,; and Eliott Marcus (Mia Eliza) Carrales of Ben Bolt,; Her sisters Maria Elida (the late Hernan) Chapa; of Alice,; Maria Luisa (the late Victor) Gonzalez of Fort Worth; Cristela (the late Willie) Stallings; Velma (Raul) Longoria and Thelma Rodriguez all of Alice. Thirteen Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and treated like her own.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Tx.
There will be no viewing. Graveside burial to be announced at a later day.
