Anna Dina Escalante, 61, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at her residence. She was born to Virginia and Santiago Perez in August of 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

In her early life, Anna graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from CCSU in Corpus Christi, Texas. Following graduation, she spent several years as a Patrol Officer at the Corpus Christi Police Department. After raising her children, she was employed as an elementary teacher at Alice ISD. In 1986, Anna married Santiago Escalante, her husband of 34 years.

Anna was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and dear friend to many. She lived life as a devoted Catholic attending mass daily. She enjoyed spending quality time attending church, being with her children and grandchildren, walking her 2 dogs, camping/hiking, and walking at the beach. She was strong, loving, funny, and cared deeply for her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children and step-children: Danielle Escalante, Santiago Escalante, Jr., Zachary Escalante, Candace Escalante, and Stephanie Escalante. She is also survived by her loving husband, Santiago Escalante. Anna was a very humble and private individual.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church on Saturday, July 10th, 2021 .
