Anita Amador Riojas was called home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, with family by her side. She was born in Merkel, TX on December 04, 1959.

She is preceded in death by her father Agustin G. Amador.

Anita spent over forty years in Flour Bluff, TX where she was known and will be missed by many.

Anita was 17 when her family moved to Corpus Christi. There she met the love of her life and choose to make Texas her home. She raised two children and was a loving grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren. When Anita attended sporting events for both her own and her grandchildren's sporting events, she was always the loudest and proudest mother and grandmother there. She made sure her babies knew she was there cheering them on. Anita never kept quiet (if you know, you know). She was always willing to help in any way she could. She will be missed dearly by those who cherished her the most.

Anita is survived by her mother Gloria Amador. Her husband of 39 years Carlos Riojas Sr., son Carlos Jr. (Elisa), grandchildren Devin, Ryan, and Carlos III; Daughter Roxana (Michael), and grandchildren Nick, Sam, Ayah, and Belen. Survivors also include sisters Ruth, Marie, Irene, Clara, and brothers Agustin Jr, Michael, Robert, and Greg.

A Celebration of life service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at Guardian funeral home chapel located at 5922 Crosstown Access Rd., Corpus Christi, TX 78417. Public visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
