In Loving Memory of Ander "Andy" Nolan Mott
July 3, 1947 – May 2, 2025
On May 2, 2025, Ander passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. A proud Marine, devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend, Ander leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and heart.
Born in Pineland, Texas, Ander was the son of Leon and Gertrude Mott. His family's deep East Texas roots trace back to 1852, when they settled in Concord, Angelina County.
After being drafted during the Vietnam War, Ander chose instead to enlist in the Marine Corps, believing it to be the toughest branch and wanting to do things his way. Ander was honorably discharged in 1974 as a decorated Corporal.
Returning home, he faced many hardships. Yet, he found purpose in raising two daughters, Michelle and Leisa, and building an unparalleled career in the oil and gas industry.
It was at Miller Environmental that he met his wife, DeAnna "Trave'" Mott. Their 17 years together were marked by love, partnership, and shared adventure. Together, they built a life on Lake Corpus Christi, welcoming friends, family, and even strangers into their home. Ander found joy in fishing, ranch life, country music, poker, and dancing.
Ander is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Leo Martin, daughter Michelle "Mickey" Soliz, and niece Rita Bergeon. He is survived by his wife DeAnna "Trave'" Mott, daughter Lesia Mott, stepsons Brandon and Mitchell Crawford, and his loyal dog, Trump.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on May 27, 2025 , at 1:00 p.m . at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi located at 9974 I-37 Access Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
