Anastacio A Barrera (Andy), gained his wings on November 8, 2021, at the age of 81 years, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Andy was born on Oct. 16, 1940 in Encinal Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother Maria Luisa Aguirre Barrera, Father Eustacio Barrera, and two brothers Rodolfo Rendon and Pedro Buentello. He is survived by his two sisters Delia Luis and Oralia Reyna (Manuel)

Andy resided in Corpus Christi, Texas with his loving wife, Aurora M Barrera, of 39 years. He is loved by many and made friends everywhere especially if it pertained to his love of gambling and bowling. He is survived by his children, son David Barrera (Emy) of Escondido, California, daughter Deborah Nachtmann (Tim) of Spokane, Washington, and daughter Jacqueline Sanchez of San Diego California as well as three stepchildren Martha Cantu (Tom), Jesus Vasquez Jr (Robyn) and Robert Vasquez (Margarita). He dearly loved his 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and all the family and friends that came into his life.

Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m.
