Amelia Martinez Flores, age 94, was called home to our Lord & Savior on February 27, 2018. Amelia's life impacted the lives of so many. Amelia was known for her love of many and loved to be around her family. Amelia was born in Edroy, Texas. Amelia is preceded in death by her daughter Olivia Heintz, and a son Gabriel Flores. She leaves us with many fond memories for us to cherish. Amelia leaves behind sons and daughters, Robert Flores, Rudy (Dolores) Flores, Olga (George) Deck, Ofelia Garza, Delia (Joe) Ramirez, Irma Catton, Pete (Sylvia) Flores, Mark (Sandra) Flores, and Gina (Steve) Ickert. Amelia also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Christus Spohn Hospice, Trisun Westwood for the may years of care. The family also recognizes Dr. James Neff and her Hospice doctor, Dr. Kent Tompkins and the staff along with all who made Amelia's life comfortable. Amelia will be missed. Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic church 710 S. 19th. St. Burial will follow in Laguna Gardens/Duncan cemetery 2500 Debra Ln. in Flour Bluff.
