Amalia B. Riojas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and now, our guardian angel, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 15, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born in Poth, Texas to her parents Jesus and Maria Ascencion Buentello on April 6, 1928. Amalia dedicated her life to her family. She had a profound influence on those whose lives she graced with her presence.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Adolfo R. Riojas, Sr., and her 5 sisters.

Amalia leaves behind, to cherish her memories, daughter Graciela Guzman (Manuel); her sons: Arnoldo B. Riojas (Connie), Adolfo B. Riojas, Jr., and Rudolfo B. Riojas; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous members of the family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, at Guardian Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary and Chapel Service to be held at 1 p.m., burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
