He often shared stories of running through open fields with his brother and friends, jumping over rattlesnakes, watching his grandfather work as a trapper and with horses, his father as a black smith, and several uncles working on the ranch. These memories and many more remained close to his heart.

In 1970, A.C. began his career at Humble Oil (Exxon), a journey that eventually took him to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, working with Esso Eastern employees. In 1987, he joined Reynolds Metals Company/Sherwin Alumina, where he would spend the next 25 years. A.C. earned an Associate's degree in Applied Science in Occupational Safety and Health Technology from Del Mar College in 2003, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2005. In 2006, he founded his own company, Workplace Safety Consultants, which reflected his deep commitment to the safety of his clients.

Beyond his professional life, A.C. was a devout servant in his faith. He served as Worship Pastor for 25 years at three different churches in the Coastal Bend area, and in 1999, he was licensed and ordained as a minister of The Gospel at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Corpus Christi, Texas. His unwavering dedication to the Lord and his church was a cornerstone of his life.
