Alma Balandran Ramos, 83, passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2026. She is now resting in heaven, surrounded by love, having left a legacy of kindness, warmth, and cherished memories for all who knew her.

She grew up picking cotton, a testament to her strength, resilience, and strong work ethic—values she carried with her throughout her life and proudly passed down to her family. A devoted homemaker, she lovingly cared for her family and also babysat for many years.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, Bartolo Ramos; her mother, Jesusa Balandran; her father, Juan Balandran; her brother, Eloy Balandran; her sister, Elva Salinas; and her granddaughter, Monica Ramos.

She is survived by her children: Vicente Ramos; Corina (Jose) Guajardo; Carlos (Bertha) Ramos; Christina (Sammy) Medina; and Angelina (Louis) Maldonado; as well as 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Guardian Funeral Home located at 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, Texas 78417 on Friday, January 23, 2026 with public visitation at 10:00am, Holy Rosary at 12:30pm, funeral service at 1:00pm, and interment at 2:30pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas with a reception to follow. Friends and family are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.
