Alfredo Martines Duenes, 80, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully on June 27, 2022, after a sudden illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 22, 1941 to the late Jose and Olivia Duenes in Alamo, Texas.
He was raised in Edinburg, TX along with his 2 brothers and 5 sisters and later moved to Portland/Gregory, Texas.

He married the love of his life, Maria Chapa Duenes on February 7, 1961 and together they raised 5 children.

He was a longtime employee of Model Uniform Service and continued his career as a route salesman. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.

His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of his life.

Mr. Duenes was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Duenes; granddaughter Agusta Garza; one brother and one sister.

He is survived by three sons: Alfredo Duenes, Jr, Michael Duenes, James (Dina) Duenes and daughter Mary Aida Garza. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Robert Duenes, Gustavo (Rosalinda) Garza, III, Gabriella Garza, Michael Duenes Jr, Devan (Jason) Copeland and Austin Duenes; and 6 great-grandchildren, Carlos Ledesma, Gustavo Garza IV, Robert Duenes, Jr, Alina Mendez, Anna Mendez and Genevieve Copeland.

In remembrance of Fred's wonderful life, a casual gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown, CC TX, with the Chapel Service to begin at 11:00 a.m.
