Alfredo Barrientos passed away on February 1, 2024 at the age of 73. Alfredo was born on May 13, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Polito Barrientos and Maria Pena.

Alfredo attended West Oso High School, he was a Del Mar College Graduate then went on to Texas A&I to pursue his Bachelor's and Master's Degree. The highlight of his career, and something he bragged quite often about, was being a guidance counselor, to the late great, " Selena Quintanilla ".

Alfredo is preceded in death by his parents Polito and Maria Pena, his sisters Viola Guerra and Irma Guillen and also his brother Leopoldo Barrientos.

Alfredo leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Mary Grace Barrientos, his sons Brian and Derek Barrientos, Daughter i law Sue Barrientos, his brothers Mario and Thomas Barrientos, His sister Irene Gomez, his grandchild Emma Brie Barrientos, his nephews Gerald Guerra, Adrian Barrientos, Edward Barrientos, Mark Barrientos, Jason Guillen, Gary Guerra, Adam Guillen, Michael Barrientos, Martin Barrientos, and Tommy Guillen, his nieces Lisa Barrientos, Maricel Guerra, Monica Gomez, Tawnie Gomez, Christi Flores, Elena Flores, Celine Ramos, Zoe Ramos, and Alexa Ramos and his close friends Dina and Enrique Infante, Fernando Garza, Gus Hernandez, Sal Villanueva, Jimmy Rivera and Gus Hernandez.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8th at Guardian Funeral Home from 4-8pm with a Chapel Service at 6:30pm .
