Alexia Abrego, age 73, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Alexia was born on November 20, 1943 in Edinburg, Texas to Alfredo and Virginia M. Abrego. She worked in several different departments and retired from the state of Texas. She is survived by her brothers, Alfredo Abrego Jr. and Rafael Abrego, her sisters, Guadalupe Canales, Glovia Vasquez, Irma Garza, and Elda Abrego, her nephews, nieces and her partner of 17 years, Joe Segura. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening on January 26, 2017 at Guardian Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her ashes will be buried along side her mother at Hillcrest Cemetery in Edinburg, TX.
