Alejandro S. Mejia, Sr. passed away on September 16, 2022 at the age of 91.
He was born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to his parents Alejandro Mejia and Rosita Silva Mejia on April 10, 1931.

A beloved father, grandfather to three generations, brother, uncle, cousin and friend is now at rest. As a hardworking man and humble provider, he always supported his family. He was the proud owner and operator of "Mejia Plumbing" where he served the Corpus Christi community as a Master Plumber until the age of 80. His legacy of dedication, perseverance, and strength is embedded in our hearts and will live on for generations to come.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alejandro Mejia and Rosita Silva Mejia; six siblings; the mother of his children whom he shared 49 years of marriage with, Isabel C. Mejia; their daughter, Rosie M. Garcia; sons-in-law, Santiago Garica and Cecil Starcher; and companion, Olga De Los Santos.

Alejandro is survived by his five children: Alex Mejia, Jr. (Norma), Diane Garcia (Sam), Linda M. Starcher, Jesse Mejia (Susan), Mario J. Mejia (Danel); 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family members who loved him dearly.

Public visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 , from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel B with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 , at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown, the funeral procession will depart at 12:00 p.m. for a 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales St.  Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd.
