In Loving Memory Of

Alberto Ruben Salinas, 80, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 8th, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Adolfo G. Salinas and Rosa S. Salinas. Alberto graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1964, where he played the baritone saxophone in the school band.

Alberto was a proud Combat Vietnam Veteran who served his country honorably as a paratrooper in the 173rd Airborne Brigade after being drafted into the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. His bravery and service were a source of pride to his family and all who knew him. Alberto dedicated much of his life to hard work and providing for his family. He worked over 30 years at Coastal States Refinery, retiring at the age of 57, and later worked 10 years at Weatherford International, retiring again at the age of 67.

Alberto will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, his conversations, his strong work ethic, his faith, and the deep love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, and devotion that will live on through all who knew and loved him.

He was a man who truly loved life and people. Alberto loved visiting family, meeting and talking with everyone he encountered, and spending time at the ranch driving his tractor and working on different projects. He enjoyed barbecuing, and most importantly, being surrounded by his family. Alberto was a man of strong faith and prayed the Holy Rosary daily.

Alberto Ruben Salinas will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
