Alberto Arzuaga, Jr., 79, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015. He was born March 12, 1936 in Corpus Christi, Tx. to Alberto & Petra Arzuaga, Sr. He graduated from Roy Miller HS, where he was a member of the Battlin' Bucs Marching Band. After graduating, he served his country by joining the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Japan. He retired from Corpus Christi Army Depot, after 30 yrs of civil service as a sheet metal mechanic, repairing helicopters for the U.S. Armed Forces. Alberto was also a member of the Corpus Christi Veteran's Band, joining shortly after it's inception.
Alberto is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Margaret Guzman, his brother, Elivorio Arzuaga, and his granddaughter , Cristina Elaina Arzuaga.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 yrs, Magdalena Arzuaga, his sister Angelica (John) Velasquez, sons, Pablo (Amelia) Arzuaga, David (Christina) Arzuaga, grandchildren, Andrew, Isabel, Mia, Alejandro & Gianna, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation & rosary will be on Wednesday, Nov. 25th beginning at 3pm, with rosary starting at 7 pm. at Guardian Funeral Home on Crosstown between Saratoga & Holly Rd. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30am, Friday, Nov. 27th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on 19th St. Corpus Christi, Tx., with interment to follow at 11 am at Coastal Bend State Veteran's Cemetery.
