Mr. Adolfo Castaneda, Sr., passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025. a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather.  Adolfo leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.  He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 67 years, who stood by his side through every chapter of life.  He was a proud father of two children, four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, who will forever hold his wisdom and kindness in their hearts. Adolfo was preceded by his beloved parents Fidencio and Teodora Castaneda, whose values and teaching shaped the man he became.  Throughout his life, he was known for his unwavering dedication to family his warm spirit, and the love he shared with all who knew him.

Adolfo was a retired school teacher for 40 years building construction trades (CVAE). He also taught adult night classes, and he also worked at the State School. Adolfo was also known to many as (Mr.C) a spiritual massage therapist for the public.  During his time of practice he helped many people with different illness.  Some people still come looking for him to this day. Adolfo had a passion for hunting, fishing and gambling.  He was good at making beef jerkey and chorizo noting never went to waste.  He was a jack of all trades.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years Elva C. Castaneda, his son Adolfo (Noemi) Castaneda, Jr., daughter, Leticia C.  Salinas his voice during his final years, one sister, Elvira C. Canales, numerous cousins and nephews and nieces. Adolfo was blessed with 4 precious grandkids Dr. Melissa (Chris) Hudson, Laura (Jarred) Holder, Adolfo (Kayla) Castaneda, III, Matthew Ryan (Alyssa) Ramirez.  He also leaves behind 6 loving great grandkids Adelina grace, Clara Kate, Eliana Marie, Olivia Rose, Amelia Skye, Jamison Gray.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Altus Hospice, Christus Spohn Hospice, Angel Bright Hospice, The Palms for respite care stay,  his nurses, cna's, caregivers including his children that never left his site.

Public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Holy rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. followed by shared memories of Mr. Adolfo Castaneda, Sr., life.  Visitation will continue on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Guardian funeral home starting at 8:00 a.m. funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. to St. Joseph Catholic church 710 S. 19th. St. for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adolfo Castaneda, III, Matthew Ryan Ramirez, Carlos Guerra, Albert Garcia, Roland Pena, Chris Hudson, Jarred Holder and Carlos Guerra, Jr.
